Let the Forest Flower
We, the PotBuddies, envision a green environment to live, a clean air to breathe, and a shady pathways to walk on. Trees act a very important role in our lives. One fully grown tree may serve the humanity for hundreds of years without getting anything in return.
Earth has now 46 percent fewer trees than it did 12,000 years ago. A research says that 15.3 billion trees are chopped down every year. Yet despite all the deforestation since then, humans still can't realize that we are the major cause of deforestation. Some people are still taking them for granted.
Last August 2019, a news shocked the whole world. The Amazon, which is the largest tropical rainforest in the world was set to fire. The amazon plays an important role in pulling planet-warming greenhouse gases out of the atmosphere. Without it, climate change speeds up. But as the world’s largest rainforest is eaten away by logging, mining, and agribusiness, it may not be able to provide the same buffer. That’s why we are encouraging everyone to join us to save and protect trees at any cost in such a modern world where urbanization, industrialization and global warming is going very fast. Join us every second Saturday of the month in tree planting activity and taking care of every trees that has been planted even before we were born.
